The most important food in my culture is “Mee Siput” or in English we can call it “Snail Noodles”. It sounds quite gross but what it actually is a noodle twisted up into a cake form and then deep fried. Basically, it’s a noodle snack. This Mee Siput we can find easily at Johor, because “Mee Siput” one of the famous food at Johor. As its deep fried, it’s crunchy and tastes rather like eating crackers. I remember eating Mee Siput a lot in school where they would cost something like 20 sen per piece and we’d try to grab the largest piece of all....hahaha. This Mee Siput taste so delicious and ermmmm......yummy...hehehe. It is usually eaten with “sambal” or we can say it sauce with lovely spicy ‘kick’...hehehehe. This time, it comes packaged in a plastic bag with a packet of chilli sauce included. I felt that it spoilt things a tad because nothing beats having a thick “sambal” to go with the noodle cake. Some people especially I like to crush up the mee siput before eating, and was it as good as I remembered it to be?
Sorry, I don’t want to talk more about Mee Siput because it makes me hungry.....ahhhhh!!!!
(If you come to JOHOR, I just want to say “WELCOME TO JOHOR” but don’t forget to buy “Mee Siput”. If you don’t buy it, you are loss....hahahhaah)
