Jom try Otak-otak…emm delicious!!!



The most important food in Johor are Otak-Otak. Ever try otak-otak from Muar? Otak-otak originates from Muar, Actually, otak-otak from Muar is very different from the Nyonya Otak-otak from Melaka. Otak-otak at Muar is in long stick which is opposed to the Nyonya Otak-otak at Melaka which is wrapped in the leaves and looks like a wrapped up kuih. Normally Ikan Merah is used together with serai, eggs, coconut milk and other types of spices in it. It is very yummy and creamy. It feels like eating "Cawanmushi' the Japanese egg dish or custard, but bit more creamy. The fish taste is not distinct as the fishy taste of the NyonyaOtak Otak
